Lee Kyung-Ok

Lee Soon-Hee
Abstract
This study has attempted to investigate changes in cognitive levels after providing continuing education to hairdressers in the City of Ulsan. According to an analysis on the cognitive levels, after providing continuing education on cosmetic techniques, perm technique (M=3.52) was the highest, followed by dyeing technique (M=3.28), other techniques (M=3.19), cut technique (M=3.16), up-style technique (M=3.08). In terms of cognitive levels by gender, no significant difference was observed (p<.05). Even though significant differences were found by age, job title, period of employment, education and monthly income (p<.01), there was no significant difference in terms of average daily working hours (p<.05). According to the above analysis, it is necessary to develop a systematic continuing education program by age, job title, period of employment, education, and monthly income to provide customized continuing education programs to hairdressers.
